More than 50 representatives from the business and tourism sectors gathered in Skopje on 8 October 2026 for the Visit Serbia B2B Networking event, organized as part of the international Visit Serbia roadshow. The event aimed to facilitate new partnerships linked to EXPO 2027 Belgrade and strengthen business and tourism cooperation between Serbia and North Macedonia.

North Macedonia will participate in EXPO 2027 Belgrade with a national pavilion themed “All Rhythms of the Sun.” The pavilion will present North Macedonian music, gastronomy, wine, tourism, culture, and creative industries, showcasing the country’s diverse offerings to an international audience.

More than 16,000

people have applied to volunteer at EXPO 2027 Belgrade, including 850 applicants from North Macedonia. Volunteers will serve as the welcoming face of the Expo, greeting visitors to the event.

EXPO 2027 Business Programme and Opportunities

EXPO 2027’s programme includes six thematic business forums, a two-day Global Business and Technology Summit, more than 250 bilateral business events, and over 50,000 business meetings. A dedicated digital B2B platform will enable companies to find partners and arrange meetings before the event.

Tourism cooperation between Serbia and North Macedonia is growing, with 82,047 tourists from North Macedonia visiting Serbia between January and July 2026. This represents a 22% increase

compared to the same period in 2025. The event supports joint travel itineraries encouraging visitors to combine Serbia and North Macedonia in a single trip.

Danilo Jerinić, CEO of EXPO 2027 Belgrade, expressed satisfaction with the strong interest in the volunteer programme and invited North Macedonia’s business and tourism communities to view EXPO 2027 as a shared regional opportunity. He stated, “I am particularly pleased by the strong interest in our volunteer programme. Our volunteers will be the welcoming face of the Expo – the people who will greet the world in Belgrade next year.” He added, “That is why

we are here today: to invite North Macedonia’s business and tourism communities to make Expo 2027 Belgrade a shared opportunity for our region.”
