The airport has announced plans to expand its facilities by adding two additional gates and constructing a new parking deck. While no new flight routes have been confirmed, April Cameron, President and CEO of Chattanooga Airport, said this growth aims to ensure capacity for future increases without congesting current infrastructure.
“Our planned growth … doesn’t mean we necessarily
have new flights to announce, but it positions us to be ready for an expansion without making our current facilities congested,” Cameron stated.
