ZIPAIR plans four round-trip charter flights between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT) during February and March 2027, marking a rare nonstop air connection between Disney Parks in Florida and Japan, according to AOL.com. This service provides direct access between Walt Disney World Resort and Tokyo Disney Resort, which normally require at least one connecting flight.
Flight Schedule, Duration, and Ticket Sales
The nonstop flights will operate as charter services with approximately 14 hours of flight time, shortening travel from at least 18 hours on connecting itineraries. Standalone tickets for these flights are expected to be available for purchase on ZIPAIR’s website
starting in late November 2026. Exact departure times and fares will be confirmed closer to the sales launch.
Travel Packages and Booking Advisory
Japanese travel agencies H.I.S., JTB, and Jalpak offer vacation packages covering Disney theme park tickets, hotel accommodations, and airport transfers for travelers on these charter flights. Because flights operate only on specific dates, travelers are advised to avoid booking nonrefundable hotels or park tickets until their flight schedules are finalized.
Background and Service Significance
Prior to these charters, flights between Walt Disney World and Tokyo Disney Resort required at least one connection. ZIPAIR’s initial nonstop charter flight arrived in Orlando on February 23, 2026, representing the
first nonstop passenger service linking Florida and the Asia-Pacific region. Additional charters followed in March and August 2026. The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority and ZIPAIR have expressed hope that this service could lead to regularly scheduled flights, though no such plans have been announced.
Official Comments and Traveler Impact
Lance Lyttle, CEO of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, stated, “The excitement surrounding ZIPAIR’s first flights exceeded expectations and sent a clear message that travelers want this connection.” These charters reduce travel time significantly and create a new direct flight option for visitors planning trips to both the Florida and Tokyo Disney Parks.
