More than 900 flights at both airports faced disruptions, with airlines such as British Airways, easyJet, Ryanair, and Wizz Air reporting numerous delayed or cancelled services. These delays and cancellations led to approximately 40,000 passengers being stranded as congestion persisted in UK airspace.
