Sapphire Sands Villas, a new luxury resort owned and operated by Bay Gardens Resorts, opened in late July 2026 on Reduit Beach in Saint Lucia. The property features nine beachfront villas offering a total of 27 keys that can be configured into one-, two-, or three-bedroom accommodations.
The ground-floor villas include private plunge pools, while all villas come with ocean-view balconies, full kitchens, and living areas. This flexible villa setup caters to couples, families, and groups seeking exclusive accommodations with spacious residential features.
Bay Gardens Resorts trained a dedicated team of 18 butlers for Sapphire Sands to provide 24-hour personalized
service tailored specifically for the villa environment. This ensures assistance with guest needs such as dining arrangements and excursion planning while maintaining the privacy of the villa experience.
Located in the popular tourism area of Rodney Bay, Sapphire Sands offers easy access to local restaurants, bars, and the marina. The resort utilizes Bay Gardens’ “Stay at 1, Play at 5” program, allowing guests access to amenities across the company’s Saint Lucia portfolio, including Bay Gardens Beach Club, Koral Kidz Club, and Splash Island Waterpark.
Resort amenities include a spa with six treatment rooms, a fitness center, a yoga space, and
a large pool. The property also operates Kimchi & Kalaloo, its own restaurant serving Asian-Caribbean fusion cuisine with Korean barbecue influences, providing a unique dining experience on-site.
Bay Gardens Resorts has invested $13 million in multiyear portfolio enhancements across its Saint Lucia properties, with Sapphire Sands representing an evolution in their offerings toward a villa-first luxury resort. The company has a longstanding presence on the island since 1994, with prior developments including Water’s Edge Villas.
Room rates for a Deluxe King Studio at Sapphire Sands were checked at $455 per night before taxes and fees for an early September 2026
stay. The resort is approximately six miles from Saint Lucia’s smaller northern airport, while transfers from the island’s main international airport are longer due to distance from Rodney Bay. Miami direct flights to Saint Lucia currently take about 3 hours and 50 minutes.
The expansion of villa-style accommodations aligns with Caribbean travel trends favoring privacy, space, and flexibility. Sapphire Sands combines these villa benefits with hotel-style amenities and services, filling a niche for travelers seeking both independence and full resort infrastructure.
Bay Gardens Executive Director described Sapphire Sands as the next step in luxury hospitality evolution, providing guests with villa
privacy backed by extensive resort amenities. The resort’s design and service model respond to increasing demand for upscale villa vacations, particularly for multigenerational groups and couples desiring a residential feel within a fully serviced resort.
Travelers to Saint Lucia can now access Sapphire Sands Villas for a villa-first luxury experience directly on Reduit Beach, offering private pools, 24-hour butler service, wellness facilities, and connection to a wider resort ecosystem in Rodney Bay.
