Minor Hotels has signed a hotel management agreement with the Amal Group of Companies to open the Gardens of Eden Resort Phuket, Minor Reserve Collection. Slated for a 2031 debut, the resort will feature 310 keys, comprising a 100-key hotel and 210 residences, located in Bang Tao, Phuket, 250 meters from the island’s west coast shoreline.
Minor Reserve Collection Brand and Gardens of Eden Development
The Minor Reserve Collection is Minor Hotels’ luxury brand designed for travellers seeking unique stays defined by distinctive elegance and individuality. Gardens of Eden Resort Phuket is the first property under this brand in Asia. The resort is a key element of the broader
Gardens of Eden development, an integrated luxury living and wellness project spanning 33 acres that also includes Etro Residences and Gardens of Eden Residences.
Wellness, Dining, and Location
Wellness will be central at Gardens of Eden Resort Phuket, with a dedicated facility covering more than 5,000 square meters. Dining options planned include an all-day restaurant, two speciality restaurants, an organic café, and a lobby lounge. The resort sits adjacent to a protected national park, with close proximity to Laguna Phuket and Phuket International Airport, linking it to Thailand’s key lifestyle and leisure areas.
Design and Official Partnership Signing
The project’s design is led by Martin Palleros of Tierra Design,
emphasizing the natural setting of Bang Tao while delivering the personalized service and distinctiveness expected from the Minor Reserve Collection. The signing ceremony in Phuket brought together William Ellwood Heinecke, Chairman and Founder of Minor International, Alexander Chuvalov, CEO of Gardens of Eden, and executives from both companies.
Global Context of Minor Reserve Collection Properties
Gardens of Eden Resort Phuket will join other Minor Reserve Collection properties worldwide: Hotel Palace Portorož in Slovenia reopening early 2027, Dukes London reopening in the second quarter of 2027, and Aventora Resort Baía Formosa in Brazil scheduled to open in 2028. This marks a strategic expansion of Minor Hotels’ luxury portfolio
in Asia.
