Wyndham Hotels & Resorts announced a strategic partnership with HotelREZ Hotels & Resorts on November 2, 2026, to add over 40 luxury independent hotels from HotelREZ’s Elegant Hotels of the World to Wyndham’s Registry Collection Hotels brand. Integration into Registry Collection’s sales, marketing, and distribution channels is expected by early 2027.
Registry Collection Hotels Expansion and Loyalty Program Benefits
The Registry Collection Hotels brand currently encompasses more than 30 properties across nine countries, including Bristol Panama in Panama City, Hodges Bay Resort & Spa in St. John, Antigua, and Balfour Miami Beach in Miami. The new hotels joining the brand are mainly small luxury boutiques with room counts
between 20 and 50. These hotels will retain membership in Elegant Hotels of the World while gaining participation in Wyndham’s Rewards loyalty program, which has approximately 129 million enrolled members worldwide. Wyndham Rewards members gain new opportunities to earn and redeem points at these additional luxury independent hotels worldwide.
HotelREZ Portfolio and Independent Hotelier Support
HotelREZ, founded in 2004 by Mark Lewis, operates Elegant Hotels of the World—a collection of over 300 independent luxury and design-led hotels—and Best Loved Hotels, a selection of more than 1,500 upscale independent properties enabled by GDS technology. The platform supports independent hoteliers with global distribution, commercial infrastructure, and technology connectivity,
helping them maintain operational control and preserve their hotel identities while competing globally.
Wyndham’s Technology Platform and AI Integrations
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts operates approximately 8,500 hotels in around 100 countries across six continents, under 25 brands including Registry Collection Hotels, Super 8, Days Inn, and Ramada. It is the first major hotel company to operate on a fully cloud-based technology platform, enabling rapid integration with AI-powered solutions such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Google Gemini. This technology enhances demand generation, personalized guest experiences, and improves hotel owner efficiency and commercial performance.
Strategic Objectives and Industry Positioning
The partnership provides independent luxury hotels access to Wyndham’s commercial capabilities and extends Wyndham Rewards
members access to aspirational stays in coveted global destinations. A flexible model will allow select properties from HotelREZ’s Best Loved Hotels collection to access Wyndham’s technology and distribution platforms starting later in 2026. Scott Strickland, Chief Commercial Officer at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, highlighted expansion of offerings to Wyndham Rewards members to include exceptional luxury hotels worldwide. HotelREZ emphasized that the collaboration unlocks commercial opportunities for its member hotels by partnering with Wyndham’s trusted global hotel ecosystem and loyalty program.
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is one of the world’s largest hotel franchising companies with a broad portfolio across economy to
luxury market segments. HotelREZ is a major hotel representation platform supporting independent hotels with technology and commercial infrastructure. Together, their combined scale and technological innovation enhance the competitive positioning of boutique luxury hotels globally.
