ITB Berlin 2027 will be held at Messe Berlin from 16 to 18 March 2027. The hall layout has been adapted due to the upcoming construction of dock9, a new multi-purpose convention and event venue replacing Hall 9, which will be demolished starting October 2026.

Exhibitor Relocation to CityCube Berlin

Exhibitors traditionally located in Halls 7.1c, 8.1, 9, and 10.1 will be relocated to CityCube Berlin for the 2027 event. CityCube Berlin, an established part of the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, will be integrated more closely and used as an exhibition hall for the first time during ITB Berlin.

CityCube Berlin offers state-of-the-art infrastructure suitable for

larger and more technical stands, especially in technology and service segments. It features East and West entrances, a separate taxi drop-off, and is close to Messe Süd S-Bahn station.

Thematic Clustering and Visitor Navigation Improvements

The revised hall layout clusters exhibitors by theme, creating clearer hall arrangements and shorter distances for trade visitors. This approach enhances navigation across related tourism sectors and encourages professional dialogue.

The upgraded layout leverages CityCube Berlin’s flexible space to support a high-quality exhibitor presence aligned with trade visitor needs.

dock9 Construction and Its Impact

Hall 9 will be demolished starting October 2026 to allow dock9 construction, part of the long-term modernisation of the Berlin Exhibition Grounds.

This redevelopment necessitated adapting the ITB Berlin 2027 venue layout to optimize available space during the transition.

Coordination and Communication with Exhibitors

ITB Berlin’s management is coordinating closely with affected exhibitors to finalize reallocations later in 2026 as the hall layout evolves. Support measures include updated hall layout maps, clear signage on site, and notifications in the ITB app and across digital channels.

Deborah Rothe, Director of ITB Berlin, stated: “The adapted hall layout is more than just a response to the construction of dock9. It gives us the opportunity to align ITB Berlin even more closely with the requirements of our international exhibitors and

trade visitors and make thematic focal points more visible.”

Ramona Zaun, Head of Sales & Administration at ITB Berlin, added: “It was important for us to involve the partners concerned in a timely manner and to develop viable solutions together. The hall layout is still evolving, which is why allocations will be finalised later this year. We are supporting these adjustments with comprehensive communications, including an updated map of the hall layout, clear signage on the grounds, and notifications in the ITB app and across all key digital channels.”
