The former Hilton Houston NASA Clear Lake at 3000 E NASA Parkway in Houston’s Clear Lake area is being converted into Compass Hotel by Margaritaville Nassau Bay. The renovation began in August 2026 and will result in a 229-room boutique-style hotel scheduled to open in late 2027.

The renovated property will feature four Margaritaville-themed restaurants, a lazy river, conference and meeting spaces, marina access, boat parking, and a store. The guest rooms are being fully redesigned as part of the transformation. The hotel aims to serve visitors, business travelers, conferences, boaters, and locals within the Nassau Bay community with a
tropical and lifestyle-focused hospitality experience.
Ownership Change and Management Statements
Nassau Bay Resorts LLC acquired the property in 2025 and subsequently announced the layoff of all employees on July 31, 2026, to facilitate extensive renovations. Kam Miramadi, CEO of Nassau Bay Resorts LLC, expressed enthusiasm about introducing the Compass Hotel to the Clear Lake community near NASA/Space Center Houston. Miramadi stated the property will become a welcoming destination reflecting the local character while providing accommodations and recreational options.
Renovation Timeline and Regional Margaritaville Expansion
Renovations commenced in August 2026 with an anticipated reopening date set for late 2027. Margaritaville continues to expand its presence along the Texas Gulf Coast, including a
$250 million, 334-room development underway on Galveston Island and the 2022 opening of Camp Margaritaville RV Resort Crystal Beach.
