Alisa Hotels, an indigenous Ghanaian hospitality brand active in both Ghana and Nigeria, reaffirmed its commitment to expanding partnerships in Nigeria during the 22nd Akwaaba Travel Market held in Lagos in 2026. Prior to the event, the group hosted a cocktail reception to reconnect with existing Nigerian partners, engage potential clients, and promote its evolving portfolio of accommodation, conferencing, and events services.

Current Properties and Expansion Projects

Alisa Hotels operates key properties in Ghana’s Accra and Tema regions. The North Ridge property in Accra features a 1,000-seater pavilion designed for large conferences and events, complemented by the Oasis Lounge, which offers dining from 10am to

10pm on weekdays and remains open until midnight on weekends. Alisa Hotel Tema is a 50-room boutique hotel with a recently added 400-seater pavilion, enhancing its capacity for corporate and social functions. Additionally, the group is preparing to launch Alisa Heritage, a collection of 86 luxury residences including superior rooms, luxury apartments, penthouses, conferencing spaces, a gym, and a restaurant.

Market Strategy and Leadership

Esperanza Adjei, Group Sales and Marketing Manager, led the Alisa Hotels delegation to Lagos, emphasizing the strategic importance of the Nigerian market to the group’s growth. The Nigerian engagement forms part of a wider strategy to strengthen ties with Nigerian

tour operators, travel stakeholders, and corporate partners. The Akwaaba Travel Market serves as a platform for Alisa Hotels to deepen existing relationships and introduce their expanding hospitality offerings.

Regional Hospitality Integration and Tourism Growth

Alisa Hotels aims to position Ghana as a preferred destination for business, leisure, and events by enhancing guest experiences and investing in property and service development. The group’s activities in Nigeria reflect a broader goal to integrate West African hospitality sectors and stimulate the tourism industries of both Ghana and Nigeria. According to The Guardian Nigeria News – Nigeria and World News, Alisa Hotels describes “Akwaaba,” the Ghanaian welcome expression, as more

than a greeting—it is an invitation to experience genuine Ghanaian hospitality.
