Factors Contributing to Delays
Delays arose due to a combination of factors commonly impacting airport operations. These include late arrivals of aircraft from prior routes, air traffic control restrictions, adverse weather conditions, engineering difficulties, and other operational challenges. The disruptions occurred during a busy summer travel period, causing knock-on effects across short-haul holiday routes and long-haul services.
Advice for Passengers
Passengers scheduled to fly from Manchester Airport are advised to verify their flight status with their respective airlines, as schedules
remain subject to change throughout the day. The delays and cancellation affect multiple carriers including British Airways, EasyJet, Jet2, Norwegian, Ryanair, Singapore Airlines, Turkish Airlines, TUI, Virgin Atlantic, IndiGo, and SunExpress.
