Bay Gardens Resorts opened Sapphire Sands Villas in late July 2026, a luxury villa-first resort on Reduit Beach in Saint Lucia. The property features nine beachfront villas with a total of 27 keys, offering flexible one-, two-, or three-bedroom configurations designed for family and group travel.
Some ground-floor villas include private plunge pools, and each accommodation has an ocean-view balcony. The resort offers 24-hour butler service supported by a class of 18 butlers trained specifically for villa-style hospitality. On-site facilities include a spa with six treatment rooms, a fitness center, yoga space, a large pool, and the exclusive restaurant Kimchi
& Kalaloo, which serves Asian-Caribbean fusion cuisine blending Caribbean ingredients with Korean influences such as barbecue.
Bay Gardens Resorts, a locally owned company that began operations in 1994, has evolved from traditional hotels to incorporate villa-style accommodation as a core product. Sapphire Sands allows guests to combine villa independence with resort amenities and infrastructure, supported further by the Stay at 1, Play at 5 program. This program grants guests access to amenities across other Bay Gardens properties in the Rodney Bay area, including the Bay Gardens Beach Club, Koral Kidz Club, and Splash Island Waterpark.
The villas’ flexible configuration system
caters to various travelers, from couples seeking one-bedroom privacy to multigenerational families booking up to three bedrooms. Each villa contains full kitchens and living areas, offering space and convenience for extended stays. The property’s design merges the privacy of villa living with access to resort services, aimed at families, groups, and couples wanting more room and personalized service.
Room rates start around $455 per night before taxes and fees for a Deluxe King Studio in early September 2026. Sapphire Sands is located near Rodney Bay’s restaurants, bars, and marina, placing guests in a central tourist area of Saint Lucia. The
island’s main international airport offers transfers to the northern Rodney Bay area, while a smaller northern airport lies approximately six miles from the resort. Miami-Saint Lucia nonstop flights take about 3 hours and 50 minutes.
The growing significance of villa accommodations within Caribbean luxury tourism reflects travelers’ demand for privacy, space, and group-friendly lodging with the convenience of resort facilities. Sapphire Sands exemplifies Bay Gardens’ strategy of integrating villa accommodation with the infrastructure and amenities previously typical of hotels. This approach builds on their earlier villa offerings, such as Water’s Edge Villas, while representing a significant step into the upmarket
villa-resort segment.
Bay Gardens Executive Director Sanovnik Destang described the Sapphire Sands opening as a progression in luxury hospitality, positioning the resort as a new benchmark in the company’s portfolio for accommodating travelers seeking upscale villa experiences in Saint Lucia.
