Hungary announced a €9.76 billion rail investment plan on July 22, 2026, set for delivery by 2035. The programme includes fleet replacements, infrastructure upgrades, metro extensions, and tram-train development.

London's Charing Cross and Waterloo East stations will close from 26 July to 16 August 2026 for a £20 million engineering project replacing almost two kilometres of track. Southeastern services will operate alternative routes during the closure to London Victoria, Cannon Street, Blackfriars, and London Bridge.

Jet2 will introduce three new routes from Bournemouth Airport to Paris, Jersey, and Verona starting Summer 2027. The expansion increases the airline's capacity by over 8% with more than 320,000 seats available.
