The US government imposed new visa restrictions targeting cybercriminals and their families, based on Section 212(a)(3)(C) of the Immigration and Nationality Act. The policy addresses at least $10 billion in 2024 US losses from online investment scams involving Chinese-linked groups and builds on earlier visa restrictions and intensified international cooperation.

The 22nd Akwaaba African Travel Market in Lagos will host the African Tour Operators Summit from September 13-15, 2026, to develop tourism linked to AFCON 2027. The summit focuses on East-West African partnerships and includes the Africa Travel 100 Awards recognizing leading tour operators.
