On August 11, 18 U.S. airports were under 29 FAA delay programmes, with Chicago O'Hare International most affected due to thunderstorms and long ground stops. Thunderstorms caused the majority of the delays, while programmes decreased moderately compared to the previous day.

Vietjet will launch twice-weekly flights from Western Sydney International Airport to Ho Chi Minh City in January 2027, using Airbus A330 aircraft. Vietjet Thailand plans to start four weekly flights to Bangkok from November 2027, pending approval.
