Intercontinental Hotels Group reported a 4.1% rise in global RevPAR for H1 2026, with US and China growth offset by a 19% slump in the Middle East due to conflict. Management expects demand growth in other regions to compensate for ongoing Middle East disruptions.

Hyatt has affiliated Atlantic Suites Hotel as its first property in Guyana, announced on August 13, 2026. A $50 million development will expand the property into Hyatt Regency Georgetown Guyana by 2028.

From October 5, 2026, Immigration New Zealand will select most Parent Resident Visa EOIs by submission order, keeping the 2,500 visa annual cap. Current EOIs cover nearly 12,000 people, with a queue expected to take up to five years to clear.
