Tampa International Airport will gain year-round nonstop service to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, with Breeze Airways initiating flights on June 18, 2027. This marks the first time any carrier will provide nonstop flights throughout the entire year on this route.
Breeze Airways will operate the route twice weekly, departing on Fridays and Mondays using an Airbus A220-300 aircraft. Santo Domingo will become Breeze’s sixth international destination from Tampa. The airline started nonstop flights from Tampa to Punta Cana on July 2, 2026, making Santo Domingo its second Dominican Republic destination from the airport.
Airline Growth and Commitment to Tampa
Alex Heiter, Tampa International Airport’s Director of

David Neeleman, founder and CEO of Breeze Airways, said the company sees strong demand for its low-cost model in Tampa. He added, “This new travel option to Santo Domingo will give Tampa another option to come fly Breeze when they want to take that next
trip.”
