Disney Cruise Line announced that its new ship, Disney Believe, will begin service with a maiden voyage departing December 18, 2027, from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The ship will offer 4- and 5-night cruises to Bahamas and Western Caribbean destinations.

First-Ever ‘Encanto’ Musical Onboard

The Disney Believe will showcase the first-ever musical based on Disney’s “Encanto” during its maiden voyage and subsequent cruises. The production features songs written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, including hits like “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” and “Surface Pressure.” Additional stage shows on the ship include “Tangled: The Musical” and “Disney Seas the Adventure.”

Thematic Design and Stateroom Features

Guests aboard the Disney Believe

will encounter a “Moana”-themed Grand Hall, which includes a statue of Moana alongside her companions Pua and Heihei. The ship’s staterooms incorporate “papercut-style artwork” inspired by “Moana,” Pixar’s “Coco,” and Disney’s “The Lion King,” extending the immersive storytelling environment.

Dining Options Inspired by Disney Stories

New dining venues debut on the Disney Believe, including Oaken’s Table, a family-oriented restaurant themed on “Frozen.” Other options include Sea Notes, a piano lounge inspired by “The Little Mermaid,” Big Hero Sips and Café Kakamora cafes themed after “Big Hero 6” and “Moana,” respectively, and Skygazers, a pub styled as a magical observatory. Returning favorites comprise the Haunted Mansion Parlor

bar, Palo Steakhouse, Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement, and The Rose lounge. The ship also offers the Inside Out: Joyful Sweets confectionary for desserts.

Cruise Itinerary and Booking Information

The Disney Believe’s itineraries include stops at Disney’s private islands: Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Cruises will last 4 or 5 nights, sailing from Fort Lauderdale to destinations in the Bahamas and the Western Caribbean. Travelers can make reservations beginning October 19, 2026.

Position Within Disney’s Wish Class Fleet

The Disney Believe marks the fourth vessel in Disney Cruise Line’s Wish class, joining the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny. The new ship expands the fleet’s

offerings with fresh entertainment, themed venues, and recognized Disney experiences.
