Disney Cruise Line will inaugurate its new ship, Disney Believe, on December 18, 2027, with its maiden voyage departing from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Public bookings for the ship open on October 19, 2026. The Disney Believe marks the fourth vessel in the Wish class series, joining Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny.
Disney Believe Introduces First Live Encanto Musical
The Disney Believe will host the first-ever live musical adaptation of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Encanto” on board. The stage production follows Mirabel’s mission to protect her family’s home, featuring songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda, including “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” and “Surface Pressure.” Other
theatrical offerings include “Tangled: The Musical” with specially enhanced sets unique to Disney Believe, and the original show “Disney Seas the Adventure,” starring Disney and Pixar characters.
Itineraries and Private Island Calls
The ship will operate four- and five-night cruises from South Florida to the Caribbean and The Bahamas. Voyages will include visits to Disney Cruise Line’s private islands: Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. All itineraries will depart from Port Everglades, expanding Disney’s presence in the Caribbean cruise market.
New Venues and Themed Spaces
The main gathering space, Grand Hall, is themed after the film “Moana,” featuring a statue of Moana alongside her animal companions
Pua and Heihei. The design incorporates Pacific Islands influences and ocean motifs, including a chandelier inspired by the sea’s fluid movement and the heart of Te Fiti. The ship will be home to two “Story Sea-kers” characters—Percival, a scholar and stargazer, and Professor Philomena, a nature empath—who appear throughout the vessel.
Additional new venues include Sea Notes, a piano lounge inspired by “The Little Mermaid” with a pearlescent piano and a beverage menu featuring the Sea Salt Martini and Under the Seaweed non-alcoholic cocktail. Wishing Well lounge offers a “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” castle courtyard theme with live
music and a bar encased in stained glass. Skygazers, an observatory-themed pub, features celestial décor and serves craft brews, cocktails, and light fare.
Dining and Entertainment Innovations
Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast is a new family dining and entertainment experience on the Disney Believe. Set in a summer forest courtyard, this original show focuses on humor and family reunion themes, distinct from the previously known “Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure.” The venue features remixed Frozen songs and appearances by characters such as Oaken, Anna, and Kristoff.
The ship also includes Gazelle, a two-story entertainment hub inspired by Disney’s “Zootopia.” During daytime, Gazelle hosts
family activities like trivia and games; at night, it converts to an adults-only venue offering entertainment and social experiences. Additional themed dining and beverage spots feature Big Hero Sips, Café Kakamora, and Inside Out: Joyful Sweets confectionary. Returning fan favorites include the Haunted Mansion Parlor bar, Palo Steakhouse, Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement, and The Rose lounge.
Role Within Disney Cruise Line’s Fleet Expansion
The Disney Believe’s addition to the Wish class lineup represents a continued expansion of Disney Cruise Line’s fleet. Its entertainment and venue offerings blend Disney animated film themes with immersive experiences. The exclusive Encanto musical and unique dining concepts emphasize Disney’s investment in
onboard live entertainment. The new ship follows sister vessels Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny in enhancing family and adult cruise experiences.
