Uzbekistan’s Tourism Committee and Air Arabia held discussions in October 2026 about expanding flight connectivity and promoting Uzbek tourism internationally, according to Caspianpost.com. Air Arabia currently operates flights to Tashkent and Namangan, with the Tashkent-Sharjah and Tashkent-Abu Dhabi routes providing 13 flights weekly combined.

Participants reviewed the existing Air Arabia routes in Uzbekistan and explored new direct flight opportunities to other major tourist destinations within the country, including Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva. The talks also covered increasing the frequency of flights between Tashkent and Sharjah and between Tashkent and Abu Dhabi. Strategies to attract transit tourists from regions such as

Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North Africa were considered crucial to future growth.

Marketing and Promotional Initiatives

The Tourism Committee and Air Arabia agreed to enhance promotional efforts by leveraging the airline’s digital platforms and targeting selected international markets. There are plans to develop tailored tourism packages and conduct joint marketing campaigns to raise awareness of Uzbekistan as a travel destination. Familiarization trips for bloggers, influencers, tour operators, and media representatives are also under consideration, with Air Arabia offering to cover airfare costs for participating influencers.

Distribution of informational materials about Uzbekistan’s tourist attractions aboard Air Arabia flights is targeted to markets in

Europe and other regions to increase exposure and tourist interest.

Agreements and Upcoming Events

Following the discussions, the parties reached practical agreements aimed at increasing tourist arrivals through expanded air connectivity and broader use of Air Arabia’s international network. The airline expressed readiness to support the Umrah Plus tourism product development as part of its commitment to the Uzbek tourism sector.

Air Arabia representatives have been invited to the 31st Tashkent International Tourism Fair, “Tourism on the Silk Road,” scheduled for November 2026. They are also invited to participate in the Investment Forum and MICE Tourism Conference linked to this event.
