Geggs Getaways held its inaugural travel show on September 24, 2026, at Blackpool Stanley Park Golf Club. The event attracted more than 200 attendees and secured £11,000 in bookings on the night.

Thirteen Suppliers Exhibit, Cruise and Florida Holidays Most Popular

Thirteen travel suppliers showcased at the event including MSC Cruises, Marella Cruises, P&O Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Newmarket Holidays, Africa & Beyond, First Class Holidays, Ocean Florida, Holiday Best, Gold Medal, Attraction World, Red Sea Holidays, and Domes Resorts. Popular holiday interests among visitors were cruises and Florida vacations. Beyond live bookings, the event generated an additional £50,000 worth of enquiries being actively pursued by Geggs Getaways.

Support from Homeworking by Inspire and Partnerships Enhanced Event

Homeworking by

Inspire played a significant role by encouraging agency owner Ryan Anthoney to organize the show and by assisting with exhibitor recruitment, marketing, and raffle prize procurement. Staff from Homeworking by Inspire’s head office—Sam Fisher, Stacey Wilson, and Alice Victoria Whalley—attended the event. The show also highlighted partnerships with Transun, Wendy Wu Tours, easyJet Holidays, and Railbookers.

Charitable Raffle Raises £500 for Dementia UK

A raffle held during the event raised £500 for Dementia UK. A three-night stay at Palazzo Versace Dubai, donated by Galaxi, was among the prizes offered to attendees.

Ryan Anthoney, owner of Geggs Getaways, said, “We were blown away by the response to our

first Travel Show. Welcoming more than 200 people through the doors and taking bookings on the night showed just how much appetite there is for face-to-face travel advice in our community.” He added, “None of it would have been possible without the fantastic support of our suppliers, who really got behind the event, and I’d like to thank every one of them. Raising money for Dementia UK at the same time made the evening even more special, and we’re already planning next year’s show.”

Lisa Henning, chief executive of Inspire Group, commented, “Supporting our agents to make events like this

happen is exactly what we’re here for. It’s a great example of how independent homeworking agents can drive business in their community and raise their local profile.”
