Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC) and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts officially inaugurated Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit on August 23, 2026. This 416-room property in central Sukhumvit, Bangkok, marks the first Fairmont hotel established in Thailand, expanding the brand’s presence in Southeast Asia.
Luxury Lifestyle and MICE Venue in Sukhumvit
Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit is positioned as a luxury lifestyle hotel and Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) destination. It offers more than 2,000 square meters of flexible event space across three dedicated floors. The venue includes a Signature Grand Ballroom with a 12-meter-high ceiling and a dedicated arrival forecourt, a second ballroom, seven breakout rooms, the Couture
Hall, plus adaptable meeting spaces designed to host international conferences, corporate meetings, weddings, and gala dinners.
Design Inspired by Thai Floral Heritage
The hotel’s design draws inspiration from Thailand’s floral traditions, realized through the “Blooming Stage” concept. Interior design was curated by the Thai design firm PIA, while architectural work was conducted by A49. The lobby features a chandelier inspired by the golden Ratchaphruek blossom, Thailand’s national flower. Guest uniforms were created by Thai fashion house ASAVA, integrating local artistic character with Fairmont’s global luxury standards.
Progressive Dining and Entertainment Openings
Seven dining and entertainment venues are scheduled to open progressively throughout 2026. Currently operational are Harper’s, a North American-French brasserie;
AELA Social Bar; CAYA Pool Club; and the Wiggle Room immersive supper club, launching mid-September 2026. Additional restaurants featuring an Italian menu with Japanese influences and a contemporary Thai dining experience will open in December 2026 on the hotel’s 32nd and 33rd floors, offering panoramic city views.
Wellness Facilities and Sustainability Features
The Fairmont Spa covers more than 1,000 square meters and is inspired by the jasmine flower, symbolizing Thai hospitality. Wellness offerings include Fairmont Studio, which provides yoga, cardio, and strength training facilities. Family-oriented amenities and experiences cater to multi-generational guests. The building was designed to meet LEED Gold certification requirements, incorporating features such
as biophilic design elements, water recycling systems, smart energy management, enhanced indoor air quality, electric vehicle charging stations, and a heat-reducing façade as part of AWC’s commitment to sustainable development.
Statements from Leadership
Mrs. Wallapa Traisorat, CEO and President of AWC, emphasized the hotel’s role as a new destination in Sukhumvit combining luxury hospitality, wellness, dining, and world-class event spaces. She highlighted the project’s alignment with AWC’s Sustainable Growth-led Strategy and mission to build quality destinations that support Thailand’s tourism industry.
Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit’s General Manager, Jerome Lobier, described the hotel as a place designed to showcase both Fairmont’s luxury service and Bangkok’s
vibrant culture. He noted the property’s offerings intend to attract international business events and leisure travelers, enhancing the city’s status as a regional hub.
