The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) has published a forecast indicating that tourism GDP in Central and South America is expected to expand by approximately 4.1% in 2026. This growth rate is predicted to exceed the global average for the travel and tourism sector during the same year.
According to the WTTC report, the anticipated increase in tourism activity within the region is largely supported by higher visitor spending coupled with a rise in domestic travel demand. These factors contribute to Central and South America being identified as one of the fastest growing tourism regions worldwide for 2026.
