The World Travel & Tourism Council has projected that the travel and tourism sector in Central and South America is expected to grow at a rate exceeding four percent in 2026. This growth rate is anticipated to outpace the average global expansion within the industry for the year, reflecting a strong recovery and developing momentum within the region’s tourism market.
Countries such as Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Guatemala, Panama, and Ecuador have been identified as key contributors to this regional upswing. The increase in international visitor spending alongside broader tourism activities within these nations is central to the forecasted growth.
