UHM Adds 182 Keys in India with Three New IHG Hotel Signings

United Hospitality Management (UHM) has signed three new hotel management agreements with IHG Hotels & Resorts in India, adding 182 keys to its portfolio. These include Garner Corbett, a 50-key hotel in Uttarakhand focused on experiential wildlife tourism; voco Kanatal, a 92-key upscale mountain retreat in North India’s emerging leisure destination Kanatal; and Garner Ahmedabad, a 40-key property in the fast-growing commercial center of Ahmedabad in western India. The three hotels are scheduled to open between 2027 and 2029.

UHM entered the Indian market in December 2025 through the acquisition of Rosastays and now manages 24 operational and pipeline properties

across the country. The company uses a brand-agnostic, owner-first model, partnering with Marriott, Hyatt, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Accor, Wyndham, and Yotel to optimize asset performance and maintain brand integrity.

India Market Expansion and Strategy

India’s hospitality sector is growing due to rising domestic travel, improving infrastructure, and increasing investor confidence. UHM’s strategy focuses on building a balanced portfolio across leisure and business destinations. The new signings target emerging leisure hubs like Kanatal and gateway commercial cities such as Ahmedabad. UHM has invested in commercial, operational, technical services, governance, leadership, and technology capabilities to support its expansion in India.

Member, described India as one of UHM’s most strategic growth markets and stressed the goal of building a diversified hospitality platform delivering long-term value to owners. Klaus Assmann, CEO Middle East, India & Southeast Asia, stated that UHM combines international expertise with deep local knowledge to position assets effectively and deliver sustainable commercial performance. Deepika Arora, Managing Director India, said these signings reflect the confidence owners have placed in UHM’s model and mark further expansion across gateway cities, emerging leisure destinations, mixed-use developments, and branded residences.

Future Development Plans

UHM aims to manage more than 100 hotels in India in the long term

and currently has 10 signed properties since entering the market. The company is in advanced discussions for new hotel management agreements in India and Southeast Asia, including luxury and upscale segments, resorts, mixed-use projects, and branded residences. UHM is also evaluating proprietary wellness, fitness, and food and beverage concepts to enhance its hospitality platform.
