Royalton Hotels and Resorts will open Royalton Vessence Cancun on March 1, 2027, a new luxury all-inclusive property located in Cancun’s Hotel Zone. The resort features 376 suites including swim-out accommodations and an oceanfront rooftop pool as key amenities.
Room rates for the Luxury Junior Suite with ocean view are approximately $583 per night, while swim-out suites are priced around $609 per night. That is a $26 difference per night between two of the resort’s most appealing categories, according to Caribbean Journal. Over a four-night vacation, the difference would be $104 at those rates before taxes or booking charges.
The
resort’s Multi Bed suites incorporate Murphy beds with full-size DreamBed mattresses and include butler service, catering to families or larger groups seeking flexible sleeping arrangements without using traditional sofa beds.
Vessence Brand Expansion from Barbados
Royalton Vessence Cancun is the second property under the Vessence brand, following the 220-suite Royalton Vessence Barbados located on the island’s Platinum Coast. The Cancun opening brings the brand from the smaller luxury Barbados market into a larger and more competitive resort environment.
The Vessence brand aims to deliver luxury all-inclusive vacations with distinctive room concepts and multiple shared guest spaces, including beachfront areas, an open-air creative studio, and wellness
programming such as The Royal Spa and Moddo Fitness.
Marriott Autograph Collection and Loyalty Benefits
The resort operates within Marriott’s Autograph Collection and participates in the Marriott Bonvoy program, allowing guests to earn and redeem points during their stay. This expands the brand’s appeal to loyalty travelers accustomed to all-inclusive properties in major destinations.
Amenities and Guest Experience
Offering six culinary outlets and five bars, Royalton Vessence Cancun is positioned as adult-oriented rather than adults-only, welcoming a broader mix of guests primarily consisting of couples and adult groups. The property is approximately a 25-minute transfer from Cancun International Airport.
Guests benefit from varied recreational areas including multiple pools, swim-out suites
providing immediate pool access, a rooftop pool overlooking the Caribbean Sea, and extensive beachfront amenities, enabling diverse on-site experiences without leaving the Hotel Zone.
The modest price difference between swim-out suites and standard ocean-view Junior Suites enhances accessibility to premium accommodations, making swim-out room categories highly attractive for short Cancun vacations.
Official Statements
Royalton Hotels and Resorts President Jordi Pelfort described the debut of Vessence in Barbados as “one of the most meaningful milestones in our company’s evolution.” The Cancun property brings the brand to a wider audience with features like the rooftop pool and swim-out suites reflecting popular trends among new
Cancun resorts.
Competitive Market Context
The Mexican Caribbean is seeing significant new all-inclusive inventory including major resort complexes and adult-only hotels. Royalton’s introduction of the Vessence brand into Cancun adds unique room options such as Multi Bed suites with butler service and swim-out rooms designed to appeal to different traveler segments within a highly competitive environment.
