At 12:44pm Eastern on November 3, 2026, US airports experienced 1,442 flight delays and 141 cancellations. JetBlue led all airlines with 46 cancellations, while American Airlines had the highest number of delays at 375. Dallas-Fort Worth Airport reported the most delays with 278 flights affected. Fort Lauderdale and Miami airports accounted for the highest cancellations, recording 35 and 30 respectively.

Earlier the same day, at 10:25am ET, USA Today reported 881 delays and 133 cancellations across US airports. The cancellation figure largely accumulated by mid-morning, whereas delays continued to rise through midday.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a morning

outlook warning of possible thunderstorm-related delays in Memphis, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. Additionally, low visibility conditions were reported in Philadelphia, contributing to disruption at the airport.

Compared to November 2, 2026, the total flight delays decreased by midday on November 3, with FlightAware reporting 2,426 delays and 82 cancellations on November 2. However, cancellations increased, with Florida airports especially Miami continuing to lead in disruption volume.

The midday disruption numbers from November 3 represent a snapshot expected to increase as the day progresses. Passengers at multiple US airports face ongoing flight delays and cancellations affecting major hubs and airlines,

including Chicago and New York airports where impact was noted but less pronounced.
