On August 13, 2026, Oceania Cruises announced its strategic focus on extended voyages as the premier way for luxury travelers to explore the world. This initiative addresses the growing demand for more immersive global travel experiences, aiming to provide guests with greater depth and comfort across longer itineraries.

Voyage Lengths and Global Reach

Oceania Cruises offers voyages that range from seven days to extensive sailings of up to 180 days, providing opportunities to visit more than 600 ports across over 100 countries spanning seven continents. The line’s itineraries include cultural sites such as ancient temples in Asia, historic cities in the Mediterranean, and dramatic coastlines

in South America.

Fleet Features and Oceania Aurelia

The cruise line’s adults-only ships are designed to deliver a high level of luxury and personalized service. Oceania Aurelia, branded as The Ultimate Explorer, is set to debut in late 2027. It will offer fewer than 250 suites and staterooms and is tailored specifically for long journey guests. The ship will feature curated itineraries, including Oceania Cruises’ Around the World voyages in 2028 and 2029. Additionally, the company has five Sonata Class ships scheduled for delivery through 2037, with new vessels arriving in 2027, 2029, 2032, 2035, and 2037.

Executive Insights on Extended Voyages

Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Oceania Cruises,

stated, “For today’s luxury traveler, discovering somewhere new is about more than moving from one place to another.” He emphasized that longer voyages allow guests extras time to linger, venture further, and fully appreciate each destination’s unique character without feeling rushed. Montague noted that these voyages combine enriching onboard experiences with small-group excursions onshore, making the travel experience more rewarding.

Traveler Experience and Logistics Benefits

Extended itineraries provide travelers with the convenience of seamless travel across continents and oceans, eliminating the need for repeated flights, hotel changes, or complex logistics. Guests can immerse themselves in multiple countries, cultures, and landscapes while enjoying an upscale, stable

“home at sea.” Oceania Cruises’ adults-only environment supports this slower travel pace, complemented by engaging enrichment programs, exceptional culinary offerings, and high crew-to-guest ratios to maintain service standards throughout the journey.

Oceania Cruises operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NYSE: NCLH), reflecting its position within a major cruise group. The company’s focus on longer itineraries aligns with luxury travelers’ increasing preference for meaningful and relaxed exploration of global destinations.
