Norwegian Cruise Line Unveils New Features of Norwegian Aura

Norwegian Cruise Line announced new onboard features for Norwegian Aura, the largest ship in its history, scheduled to debut in 2026 as part of the Prima Plus Class. The ship will offer expanded wellness, dining, and leisure experiences designed to give guests more freedom and choice.

Thermal Suite and Mandara Spa Offer Extensive Wellness Amenities

Norwegian Aura will include the cruise industry’s most extensive Thermal Suite, with 15 wellness experiences including 11 new offerings centered on contrast therapy. These amenities feature a Sensory Rain Pool simulating tropical rain and thunderstorms, a Blue Glow Suite for relaxation, a Foot Spa, Waterfall Experience, Snow Cave, Reflection Pool with ocean views, and

guided Hot and Cold Plunge sessions. The Mandara Spa, designed by the Rockwell Group and spanning two decks, also comprises a Salt Room, Meditation Lounge, Aromatic Steam Room, Finnish and Charcoal Saunas, Zen Lounge, 24 treatment rooms, a full-service salon, and expanded medi-spa services such as IV therapy, NAD+ injections, and acupuncture. A state-of-the-art fitness center with training studios is included.

New Culinary Concepts and Redesigned Dining Venues

The ship features 22 food and beverage outlets spanning over 10 cuisines. Norwegian Aura introduces Tamara, NCL’s first specialty Indian restaurant located on Deck 8, serving dishes such as Short-Rib Dosa, Lamb Biryani, and Green Papaya Salad in a

setting inspired by North Indian temple architecture. Another debut venue is The Panorama Room on Deck 6, an immersive complimentary dining experience with expansive LED screens and synchronized visual effects. Hudson’s main dining room will highlight 270-degree ocean views with a refreshed design. Additional options include Le Bistro and Sukhothai on Deck 7, Palomar and Onda by Scarpetta on Deck 8, Cagney’s Steakhouse, Hasuki hibachi, Nama sushi, an expanded Surfside Café, Indulge Food Hall, and Local Bar & Grill for complimentary fare.

Refreshed Public Spaces and Luxury Haven Design

Public areas throughout Norwegian Aura have been updated for improved flow and comfort. Bars such as Penrose Bar

& Atrium, Metropolitan Bar, Swirl Wine Bar, Belvedere Bar, Whiskey Bar, and Daybreak Bar on Deck 18 have refreshed interiors and expanded seating. The Haven luxury complex includes a redesigned bar, lounge, and restaurant crafted by Studio DADO, featuring earth tones, natural elements, and lush canopies for a tranquil ambiance.

Ocean Heights Activity Hub and Planned Voyages

Ocean Heights, a family activity center on Norwegian Aura, offers six slides, an 82-foot ropes course, the Moon Climber multi-level obstacle course, Aura Midway carnival-style games, and a nine-hole mini golf course. Overhanging cabanas with views of the Vibe Beach Club and a dedicated bar provide adult relaxation spaces. Norwegian

Aura will commence service with a seven-day Mediterranean cruise from Trieste, Italy, to Barcelona, Spain, departing May 21, 2027, followed by a 13-day transatlantic cruise to Miami. In summer 2027 and 2028, it will sail seven-day Eastern Caribbean itineraries calling at destinations including Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, and St. Th.
