The Nora Hotel opened on Monday, 19 October 2026, at 1135 North Railroad Avenue in the Nora District of West Palm Beach, Florida. The 201-room property was developed by New York hotelier Sean MacPherson alongside BD Hotels founders Richard Born and Ira Drukier. The developers are known for prominent New York hotels such as Hotel Chelsea, The Bowery Hotel, and The Mercer, now bringing their hospitality concepts to West Palm Beach.

Dining amenities at The Nora Hotel

The hotel introduces two new dining venues to the West Palm Beach area. Pastis, a Parisian-style brasserie, is operated by restaurateur Stephen Starr. Jack’s Bar serves as the hotel’s

lobby bar. Additionally, a rooftop venue named Lillys is planned, featuring a restaurant, lounge, poolside service, and live entertainment, aiming to offer a destination experience atop the property.

Hotel design and amenities

The Nora Hotel includes a rooftop pool and the first Sisley Spa location in Florida. New York-based design firm GACHOT crafted the interiors, which draw inspiration from Spanish Colonial Revival and Mediterranean architecture typical of Palm Beach, combined with downtown New York style influences. The hotel is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, with room rates starting at $395.

Nora District redevelopment and development timeline

The Nora District redevelopment spans an area roughly bordered by

Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard to the north, Quadrille Boulevard to the south, Dixie Highway to the east, and Florida East Coast Railway tracks to the west. Led by NDT Development, Place Projects, and Wheelock Street Capital, the initiative focuses on converting underused industrial and railway buildings into a walkable urban district. The first phase has renovated 13 former industrial and railway structures along North Railroad Avenue, creating over 150,000 square feet of commercial space and approximately 55,000 square feet of office space, along with a linear park. Businesses have been opening in phases since 2025.

Future plans for Nora District

Subsequent development phases within the

Nora District will add residential buildings, including condominiums, expanded office space, and ground-floor retail. Planned structures in the district will reach heights of 12, 15, and 20 stories. The hotel and its dining venues are part of a broader strategy to establish the area as a vibrant place to live, work, and visit.
