
Nepal saw the arrival of over 100,000 foreign tourists in May 2026, signalling a notable recovery in its international tourism sector following the pandemic period. This increased visitor flow marks one of the strongest rebounds in recent times for the country’s tourism industry.
Among the international markets, India stood out as the foremost source of tourists during this month. It surpassed other key countries including China, the United States, Bangladesh, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand in terms of visitor numbers to Nepal.
