Mexico emerged as the leading nation in North America for tourism GDP growth in 2025, as reported by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC). This highlights Mexico’s strong performance within the region’s travel sector for the year.
In addition to growth, visitor spending in Mexico outpaced that of other North American markets throughout 2025, reflecting increased consumer expenditure in its travel and tourism industry compared to its regional counterparts.
Mexico also recorded the highest number of international visitor arrivals among North American countries during the same period. This further establishes Mexico’s position as a primary destination for travelers entering
North America in 2025.
