Southwest’s Nashville Operations and Route Updates

Southwest has maintained a significant operational presence in Nashville, with flights serving destinations across the United States, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. The airline established a crew base at Nashville International Airport in 2024. In addition, construction is underway on a new Southwest Airlines airport lounge at the facility. Southwest plans to restart seasonal service between Nashville

and Bozeman, Montana, as well as Portland, Oregon, though timing details remain unspecified.

Simultaneous Expansion in Austin, Texas

On the same day Southwest announced its Nashville route additions, it also revealed plans to add seven new domestic and international routes from Austin, Texas. These announcements reflect Southwest’s ongoing network growth focused on increasing flight options from both Nashville and Austin airports.
