Mexico has established itself as the leading country in North America for tourism growth and visitor spending in 2025, according to data from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC). This development reflects Mexico’s expanding role in the continent’s travel sector, marked by notable increases in tourism-related economic activity.
WTTC findings further reveal that Mexico outperforms both the United States and Canada in key tourism metrics for the year. The country registers a significant rise in international visitor arrivals alongside strong growth in its tourism GDP. These factors reinforce Mexico’s position as the top destination in North America for tourism
expansion and economic contribution within the sector.
