The California High-Speed Rail Authority has awarded a contract valued at $3.5 billion to a consortium led by Kiewit. This contract covers essential track and systems installation services for the Central Valley portion of the state’s high-speed rail project.

Under this agreement, the consortium is responsible for delivering track and systems infrastructure specifically for the Central Valley rail segment, a key component of the larger high-speed rail initiative in California. The contract was officially announced in early June 2026.
