ITB Berlin will hold its 2027 trade event from March 16 to 18, implementing a revised hall layout at Messe Berlin to accommodate the upcoming construction of dock9, a new multi-purpose venue replacing the existing Hall 9. Demolition of Hall 9 is set to begin in October 2026, necessitating changes to the exhibition footprint.
Exhibitors currently housed in Messe Berlin’s Halls 7.1c, 8.1, 9, and 10.1 will be relocated to CityCube Berlin for the 2027 edition. CityCube Berlin’s role will expand beyond its usual conference function to become a key exhibition space within ITB Berlin’s layout adjustments.
CityCube Berlin offers
dedicated access points, including specific entrances, a separate taxi drop-off zone, and direct links from Messe Süd S-Bahn station. The venue will support larger exhibition stands and technology-focused participants by providing advanced technical infrastructure and a flexible environment for exhibitors with specialized needs. These changes aim to facilitate improved visitor flow and more efficient navigation across the event.
Deborah Rothe, Director of ITB Berlin, stated, “The adapted hall layout is more than just a response to the construction of dock9. It gives us the opportunity to align ITB Berlin even more closely with the requirements of our international exhibitors and
trade visitors and make thematic focal points more visible.” Ramona Zaun, Head of Sales & Administration at ITB Berlin, added, “It was important for us to involve the partners concerned in a timely manner and to develop viable solutions together.”
The revised layout seeks to group related tourism sectors closer, enhancing interactions within market segments and easing visitor access to relevant exhibitors. Organizers are collaborating with affected exhibitors to plan stand placements, with final space allocations expected later in 2026. ITB Berlin will update hall maps, signage, and provide digital information through the ITB app and other platforms to support
visitors and exhibitors during the transition.
