The Davao Travel Agencies Association will host the Davao Travel Expo 2027 from March 5 to 7 at the SM Lanang SMX Convention Center in Davao City. The event expects about 60 exhibitors, including travel agencies, hotels and resorts, and tour operators.
New and Featured Destinations at the Expo
The expo will highlight new popular travel destinations such as Canada, noted for viewing the Aurora Borealis from late August to mid-April. It will also feature Central Asian countries Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, which were part of the previous 2026 event. The Japan National Tourism Organization will participate, reflecting Japan’s popularity among travelers from Davao.
The
three-day event includes business-to-consumer sessions with accredited local travel agents, offering consumers direct access to competitive travel discounts, promotions, and special offers.
Travel Amid Ongoing Oil Crisis
Despite the ongoing oil crisis affecting travel costs worldwide, domestic flights in Mindanao continue to operate due to the essential nature of travel for business and leisure. To mitigate rising costs, airlines and hotels participating in the expo are providing special rates for travelers.

Previously known as the “Davao Mega Travel Sale,” this event is one of Mindanao’s leading travel expos. It aims to promote unique travel services and enhance visitors’ interest in Davao City and other areas
in Mindanao. Organizers intend the expo to expand travel options and attract more visitors to the region.
