Geggs Getaways by Inspire held its inaugural travel show on September 24, 2026, at Blackpool Stanley Park Golf Club, drawing more than 200 guests. The Blackpool-based agency organized the event to offer face-to-face travel advice within its local community.
Bookings and Enquiries from Travel Show
The event resulted in £11,000 worth of bookings made on the day and generated an additional £50,000 in enquiries, which the agency is actively pursuing. Geggs Getaways is part of the Homeworking by Inspire Independent Travel Associates division, which supported the event’s logistics and marketing.
Exhibitors and Popular Holiday Choices
Thirteen travel suppliers exhibited at the event, including MSC Cruises, Marella Cruises, P&O Cruises, Crystal Cruises,
Newmarket Holidays, Africa & Beyond, First Class Holidays, Ocean Florida, Holiday Best, Gold Medal, Attraction World, Red Sea Holidays, and Domes Resorts. Cruise holidays and trips to Florida were especially popular among attendees. The agency also promoted partnerships with Transun, Wendy Wu Tours, easyJet Holidays, and Railbookers during the show.
Charitable Fundraising and Support
The travel show featured a raffle that raised £500 for Dementia UK. A notable prize included a three-night stay at Palazzo Versace Dubai, kindly donated by Galaxi. Homeworking by Inspire facilitated exhibitor recruitment, secured raffle prizes, and provided marketing assistance. Three members of the Inspire head office team—Sam Fisher, Stacey
Wilson, and Alice Victoria Whalley—attended the event.
Official Statements
Ryan Anthoney, owner of Geggs Getaways, said the agency was “blown away by the response” to the first show and praised supplier support, adding that the event underscored strong demand for in-person travel advice locally. He also noted plans are underway for a second show next year. Lisa Henning, chief executive of Inspire Group, stated the event exemplifies how independent homeworking agents can drive community business and increase their local profiles. She affirmed that supporting agents to stage such events aligns with Inspire Group’s goals.
