The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) will begin deploying the V-Pass facial recognition biometric system across all Nigerian domestic airports starting in July 2026.

Coverage and Expected Benefits

The implementation covers the entire domestic airport network in Nigeria. The V-Pass system aims to modernize security screening processes, reduce boarding times, and improve passenger flow within Nigeria’s domestic air travel sector. Domestic travelers in Nigeria will experience more streamlined security and boarding from July 2026 onward.
