Flair Airlines announced a new nonstop route starting June 15, 2027, linking Edmonton, Alberta, with Saint John, New Brunswick. This will mark the first direct commercial air service between Edmonton International Airport (YEG) and Saint John Airport (YSJ). Introductory fares are priced at $199 CAD one way, with tickets available for purchase beginning October 15, 2026.

Flight Frequency and Ticket Information

The twice-weekly flights will operate in both directions between Edmonton and Saint John. Passengers can now book tickets through Flair Airlines’ official channels starting in mid-October 2026. The service establishes a direct air link between western Canada and Atlantic Canada’s New Brunswick region.

Current Travel Patterns to Saint John Require Layovers

Most

travelers currently flying between Edmonton and Saint John must connect through Toronto, adding time and complexity to their journeys. Saint John is identified by Flair Airlines as one of Edmonton’s largest air travel markets within Atlantic Canada, making the introduction of a nonstop route a significant change for passengers.

Practical Benefits for Passengers and Regional Access

This new nonstop service eliminates the need for layovers, providing a more streamlined option for those visiting family, working, or vacationing between these cities. Travelers departing from Edmonton gain direct access to southern New Brunswick, including the Bay of Fundy and historic coastal communities. Conversely, passengers flying to Edmonton can explore

local festivals, the river valley, and have access to the Canadian Rockies.

Len Corrado, CEO of Flair Airlines, stated, “We’re proud to be the first airline to connect Edmonton and Saint John nonstop, bringing two great Canadian cities closer together.” Court Edeburn, President and CEO of Saint John Airport, emphasized that “Direct access to Edmonton opens new opportunities for tourism, business and families travelling between Atlantic and Western Canada.”
