On June 24, 2026, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued ground stops at several prominent airports throughout the United States and Canada. This action resulted in extensive interruptions to flight operations on that day.

The airports affected included Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson, John F. Kennedy in New York, Boston Logan, Newark Liberty International, Orlando International, and Toronto Pearson. These disruptions encompassed around 169 flight cancellations alongside roughly 680 delays.

Major airlines with considerable operational impacts included Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, JetBlue, Air Canada, and American Airlines among others. Passengers experienced significant interruptions as flights across these carriers and airports were delayed

or canceled, adversely affecting schedules and travel plans.
