The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) implemented ground stop orders on June 24, 2026, affecting a number of prominent airports across the United States and Canada. This measure has led to extensive disruptions involving thousands of flights.

The airports impacted by these ground stops include major hubs such as Atlanta, John F. Kennedy (JFK), Boston Logan, Newark Liberty International, Orlando International, and Toronto Pearson International. Reports indicate that the affected airlines include Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Air Canada, and American Airlines. Collectively, over a thousand flights have experienced delays or cancellations, with figures including around 169 canceled flights

and 680 delayed departures at the affected airports.
