American Airlines allowed passengers traveling through JFK, LaGuardia, Newark, and Chicago O’Hare on August 11, 2026, to change bookings without fees or fare differences, provided tickets were purchased by August 9 and rebookings completed by August 13.
United Airlines offered fee-free rebooking for Chicago flights departing on August 11, permitting
travel rescheduling between August 9 and August 14 in the same cabin without additional charges. Delta Air Lines extended waiver coverage to tickets issued on or before August 10 for travel through JFK, LaGuardia, Newark, and Westchester County Airport (HPN), with rebooking allowed through August 13 without change fees.
JetBlue waived change and cancellation fees plus fare differences for flights involving JFK, LaGuardia, Newark, HPN, Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP), or Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) on August 10 and 11, with new travel permitted through August 15. Passengers affected are encouraged to use airline mobile apps or online portals
to manage rebooking before arriving at the airports.
