More than 320 flights were cancelled and close to 3,900 delayed on July 2, 2026, affecting air travel across several European countries. The widespread disruptions impacted some of the continent’s busiest hubs, causing substantial operational challenges for airlines and passengers alike.
Among the airlines affected were Lufthansa, Air France, easyJet, and Swiss. Key airports experiencing grounded flights included Munich, Zurich, Paris, and Rome, with additional disruptions reported throughout Germany, France, the UK, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Greece.
These cancellations and delays led to extended waiting periods and altered travel plans for many passengers throughout Europe today. The full extent of
the disruptions affected numerous routes as flights were grounded or postponed at multiple airports across the region.
