In 2027, Disney Cruise Line will for the first time base its three newest Wish-class ships—the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny—simultaneously at Port Canaveral, Florida. This historic move will expand options for guests wishing to combine cruises with Walt Disney World vacations, given the port’s proximity to Orlando theme parks.
Disney Wish’s European and North American Itineraries in 2027
The Disney Wish will spend summer 2027 sailing European waters, concluding with a transatlantic voyage from Southampton, United Kingdom, to New York City. This crossing will include stops in Scotland, Iceland, and Canada. Following the transatlantic trip, the ship will operate a set of seven cruises departing from
New York City to destinations including Bermuda, Canada, and New England.
Disney Wish and Sister Ships at Port Canaveral Starting November 2027
On October 31, 2027, the Disney Wish will leave New York City for San Juan, Puerto Rico. After completing two cruises from San Juan, it will arrive at Port Canaveral on November 16, 2027. Beginning then, the Disney Wish will offer three- and four-night cruises to the Bahamas, making stops at Disney’s private islands Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
Joining the Disney Wish at Port Canaveral will be its sister ships Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny. This marks the first time all three Wish-class vessels will
homeport together in the same season at Port Canaveral.
The Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny’s New Roles and Entertainment
The Disney Treasure will feature its signature show, “The Tale of Moana,” while sailing Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries. Meanwhile, the Disney Destiny will shift its homeport from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Port Canaveral. This move will enable it to run cruises of three to seven nights duration focused on The Bahamas and the Western Caribbean.
The Disney Destiny will bring heroes-and-villains-themed entertainment closer to Walt Disney World visitors, including productions themed on “Hercules” and “Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King.”
Other Disney Ships’ 2027 Schedules and Fleet Expansion
Before the convergence of the Wish-class trio in late
2027, the Disney Fantasy will sail out of Port Canaveral from September through November. The Disney Dream will have a brief sailing period from Port Canaveral before relocating its homeport to Fort Lauderdale.
Disney Cruise Line plans to expand its fleet to 13 ships by the end of the decade. The Disney Believe, the fourth ship in the Wish-class, is scheduled to launch in late 2027, with four additional vessels slated to arrive in 2029 and later.
Booking and Traveler Benefits
Families booking fall 2027 voyages aboard Disney Cruise Line can start making reservations on August 31, 2026, for select Castaway Club members. Public
bookings will open on September 8, 2026.
The expanded lineup at Port Canaveral allows travelers more choices in ship, cruise length, and destinations. The port’s close location—approximately one hour—from Walt Disney World enhances opportunities to combine cruises with theme park visits efficiently.
Industry Perspectives on Fleet Growth and Port Canaveral Expansion
Tracy Wilson, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Cruise Line operations, said the company is pleased to return to New York, describing it as “a guest-favorite port.” She added the fleet’s growth allows continued visits to Caribbean and other destinations.
