Disney Cruise Line has announced the launch of its fourth Wish-class ship, Disney Believe, scheduled to embark on its maiden voyage on December 18, 2027, from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The ship will offer four- and five-night itineraries including stops at Nassau, Cozumel, Disney Castaway Cay, and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. General public bookings for Disney Believe open on October 19, 2026, following a tiered presale from October 12 to 15 for eligible Disney members and cast members. The vessel will run 29 sailings through May 2028.
Exclusive Live Encanto Musical Debut
Disney Believe will introduce the first-ever live stage adaptation
of Disney’s animated film Encanto as its headline theatrical production. The musical, scoring original songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda, follows the story of Mirabel on her quest to save her family and their magical home. Featured songs include “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” and “Surface Pressure.” This production emphasizes cultural authenticity by drawing on diverse Colombian influences for costumes, dance, and scenic design, marking a new entertainment milestone for Disney Cruise Line.
Additional Entertainment Offerings
Other shows aboard Disney Believe include an updated version of Tangled: The Musical with enhanced set design and special effects suitable for the ship’s larger theater space. The ship
will also present Disney Seas the Adventure, an original show featuring beloved Disney and Pixar characters with a Broadway-style format. The entertainment complex Gazelle, inspired by the bustling city from Disney’s Zootopia films, will provide family programming during the day and adults-only entertainment after dark.
Dining and Lounge Venues
Disney Believe will host a variety of themed dining and lounge spaces, including Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast, a new interactive dining experience featuring Frozen characters Oaken, Anna, and Kristoff alongside live musical performances. Unlike previous Frozen dining shows, this venue offers a humorous summer-side story set in an enchanted forest. Additional venues include
Sea Notes, a piano lounge inspired by Ariel’s grotto from The Little Mermaid, and cafes such as Big Hero Sips and Café Kakamora, themed after Big Hero 6 and Moana. Returning spots include the Haunted Mansion Parlor bar, Palo Steakhouse, Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement, and The Rose lounge.
Accommodations and Thematic Design
About 70% of the staterooms on Disney Believe will feature verandahs, with more than 450 connecting room doors available for families and groups. Premium options include four royal suites and the nearly 2,000-square-foot Believe Tower Suite that can accommodate up to eight guests. The ship’s Grand Hall is themed around Moana,
featuring a statue of Moana with Pua and Heihei and décor inspired by the sea and Pacific Islands, including ocean-colored carpets with bioluminescent elements and a chandelier symbolizing the heart of Te Fiti. Two Story Sea-kers, Percival, a stargazer, and Professor Philomena, a plant-ologist and nature empath, serve as narrative characters throughout the ship’s public spaces.
Disney Believe offers comprehensive children’s clubs such as the Disney’s Oceaneer Club, It’s a Small World Nursery, and teen venues like the Edge, Vibe, and The Hideaway.
Booking Details and Traveler Benefits
Bookings open to the general public at 8 a.m. ET on October 19, 2026. Presales occur between
October 12 and 15 for Disney cast members and members of various Disney loyalty clubs. A non-refundable deposit of 10% is required for reservations on the maiden voyage. The ship’s entertainment, dining, and accommodation features provide enhanced experiences especially designed for families, groups, and adult travelers, including exclusive new shows and themed venues unavailable on other ships.
Wish-Class Fleet Expansion and Cultural Integration
Disney Believe joins the Wish-class fleet alongside Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny, expanding Disney Cruise Line’s offering from Port Everglades. The inclusion of the Encanto musical underscores a trend toward culturally authentic entertainment onboard cruise ships, emphasizing diverse musical and theatrical
representation. This ship blends returning fan-favorite experiences and venues with new narrative-driven entertainment and dining options, supporting a multi-generational guest appeal and continuing thematic design trends rooted in Pacific Island and natural motifs.
