Delta Air Lines has permanently ended three nonstop flights from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Houston, Texas; Memphis, Tennessee; and St. Louis, Missouri, after suspending these routes in June.
New Southwest Florida to Raleigh-Durham Flight Added
Starting November 21, 2026, Delta will operate a new daily nonstop flight linking Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) near Fort Myers with Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) in North Carolina.
Expanded Florida Flight Options from Boston, Detroit, Atlanta, and New York
Delta will begin additional flights between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Florida destinations Orlando and Miami on December 19, 2026. The airline will also increase service to Orlando International Airport (MCO) with more flights arriving from Detroit Metropolitan Airport
(DTW), Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), and New York airports.
In April 2026, Delta announced the addition of over 40 nonstop Friday and Sunday flights for college football weekend travelers at major gameday destinations.
Baggage Fees Raised Due to Rising Fuel Costs
Delta has raised its checked baggage fees to offset increased fuel expenses attributed to geopolitical tensions involving the U.S., Israel, and Iran. This cost increase is part of broader operational adjustments, including the service changes to its flight schedules.
