The Columbus Regional Airport Authority released a continuously updated guide in July 2026 cataloguing every nonstop flight departing from Columbus airports for the calendar year. Based on the authority’s official nonstop flight chart cross-checked with airline announcements, the list reflects a rapid expansion in nonstop services during the first half of 2026, including twelve new route announcements between January and June.
JetBlue will resume service at John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) starting November 3, 2026, with nonstop flights to Fort Lauderdale, marking its return after a multi-year absence. Two additional routes to Caribbean destinations, Punta Cana in the Dominican
Republic and San Juan in Puerto Rico, are scheduled to begin early in 2027. Breeze Airways will operate the Punta Cana route beginning January 8, 2027, with flights running Mondays and Fridays through March 22, 2027. Southwest Airlines will start Saturday nonstop service to San Juan on February 13, 2027.
As of July 2026, nonstop departures from Columbus serve 57 destination airports across North America through 10 airlines, soon to be 11 with JetBlue’s return. Most flights operate from John Glenn Columbus International Airport, while Allegiant manages nine leisure routes nonstop from Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK) on the city’s southern
edge. Seasonal routes are specifically labeled to indicate their limited annual operating periods. The Columbus Regional Airport Authority’s marketing sometimes rounds nonstop destinations to “55+” to reflect ongoing additions.
Florida is the leading state for nonstop connections, with 14 airports served directly from Columbus. Destinations include Destin, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Key West, Miami, Orlando, Orlando/Sanford, Palm Beach, Panama City Beach, Punta Gorda, Sarasota, Tampa, and St. Pete-Clearwater. Of these, Cancun in Mexico remains the only beach destination requiring a passport for U.S. travelers, with Punta Cana expected to join this category in 2027. San Juan, as a U.S.
territory, does not require a passport.
Rickenbacker Airport, primarily a cargo facility with a small passenger terminal, handles nine nonstop Allegiant routes to locations such as Destin, Fort Lauderdale, Key West, Myrtle Beach, Orlando/Sanford, Punta Gorda, Sarasota, Savannah, and St. Pete-Clearwater. Travelers using Allegiant flights should verify whether their departure is from CMH or LCK to avoid confusion.
Currently, the nonstop airline roster at Columbus includes American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Air Canada, Breeze Airways, Frontier Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, and Allegiant Air. JetBlue will become the 11th airline serving nonstop flights starting November
2026. Southwest remains the largest carrier operating from John Glenn Columbus International Airport. Nonstop flights outside North America are limited to Toronto, Montreal, Cancun, and future Punta Cana service, with no transatlantic nonstop routes announced to date. Flight schedules and route offerings are subject to frequent change, with booking windows generally stretching six to nine months in advance. Travelers are encouraged to use airline websites or the Columbus Regional Airport Authority’s Destinations from Columbus tool for current information.
