Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport now offers nonstop flights to over a dozen top cities across the United States, providing faster and more convenient travel options for passengers who previously relied on connecting flights through larger hubs like Atlanta and Charlotte.
To accommodate growing demand, Chattanooga Airport plans to add two new gates and construct a new parking deck. April Cameron, the airport’s president and CEO, said these improvements position the airport for future expansion while avoiding congestion in existing facilities, though no new flight routes have been announced yet.
Chattanooga Airport Cultural Experience
The airport incorporates local culture with features like a groovy light tunnel
connecting concourses A, B, and C. This tunnel includes moving walkways, colorful lighting, and Motown music, reflecting Chattanooga’s vibrant atmosphere and music heritage.
Among the nonstop destinations is New York City, where travelers landing at LaGuardia Airport can experience the recently renovated 450-foot-long skybridge soaring 65 feet above the tarmac, offering city views and plane spotting opportunities. Visitors can also access Central Park or enjoy refreshments at Peacock Alley inside the Waldorf Astoria, open Wednesday through Sunday.

From Chattanooga, nonstop flights connect to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, featuring a large Brachiosaurus replica on loan from Chicago’s Field Museum. O’Hare also
