The travel and tourism sector in Central and South America is projected to experience growth surpassing the global average in 2026. According to forecasts by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), the region’s Travel & Tourism GDP is expected to increase by more than four percent next year.
Strong Regional Tourism Surge Across Multiple Countries
This upward trajectory is supported by notable contributions from several countries within the region, including Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Guatemala, Panama, and Ecuador. These nations are part of a broader regional surge marked by rising international visitor spending, which is playing a significant role in the positive economic outlook for Central and
South America’s tourism industry.
